The International Forum Thermal Power Russia: construction and modernisation of stations is a professional international platform for leading companies in the Russian power industry involving senior executives of the largest investment projects, key generating plants in the region, regulatory authorities, investors, leading manufacturing companies, technology licensors , engineering, design and construction companies. The event is dedicated to the development of the thermal power industry through the realisation of major investment projects for the construction and modernisation of thermal power plants, as well as the exchange of experience and discussion of opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing production facilities.

As I mentioned to the organisers at the meeting, the forum was organised at a high level. I would like to express my gratitude for the organisation of the event and for the opportunity to participate! The forum topics are truly very topical at present. During the discussions and presentations many serious and important issues that the energy sector in the country lives by were covered. I am glad that there is consensus among specialists in the community about what is happening and that there are constructive proposals for qualitative change.As we noted, it would be very useful to have representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, market regulators (the Market Council, the System Operator), and possibly representatives of the State Duma / Government present, so that there would be online feedback between all participants in the process. I am sure the dialogue could have been much more active in such a format, and perhaps more constructive, since representatives of the energy sector shared experience and views on the current state of our field. However, perhaps a forward-looking view that takes state strategy into account is lacking.Colleagues also noted that it would be beneficial to have major representatives of the power-engineering industry present (Power Machines, UTZ, TKZ and other representatives of boiler and turbine building).Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this event and for the excellent organisation!
